wrules of writting

I was sent this email and thought you all might get as big a kick out of it as I did. 1. Verbs HAS to agree with their subjects. 2. Prepositions are not words to end sentences with. 3. And don't start a sentence with a conjunction. 4. It is wrong to ever split an infinitive. 5. Avoid cliches like the plague. (They're old hat) 6. Also, always avoid annoying alliteration. 7. Be more or less specific. 8. Parenthetical remarks (however relevant) are (usually) unnecessary. 9. Also too, never, ever…See More

Concert for the people damaged by the oil spill

A letter from a friend who is wondering if people care enough! To whom it may concern:My name is Candy Spice and my family has lived on the Gulf Coast of Florida since 1924. Prior to that, my Grandmother was born in Baton Rouge, LA. As you can see my family has a long history on the Gulf Coast. I am deeply saddened by the Deep Horizon oil spill and the lack of effort to help from our fellow American citizens. Shortly after the massive earthquake in Haiti, several celebrities and people of…See More

So if anyone wants their promo bookmarks to get sent to people who buy my books, touch base with me and we can do a swap.

Interesting Book Reviews

On Resurrection Diaries "... I couldn't put Resurrection Diaries down. I started it late in the afternoon and was finished the next day pausing only when my body demanded sleep. I passed it on to a friend who handed it back to me in less than three hours. She said that she could not put it down. She called it 'absolutely phenomenal'."

On The Savvy Vehicle Buyer: The Consumer Drives The Deal ... [This book] is a must have guide for anyone who plans on purchasing a vehicle. His extensive professional background as a High School Economics teacher and his many years in various positions in the auto industry makes this a virtual insider's gold mine of information ... Everyone says the only way to get the best deal is to negotiate, this book teaches you how. After teaching, it even walks you through a phantom deal to show you how to apply all that you have learned and how much it can save you in time, money, and frustration.

On The Chosen Few ... classic gumshoe fiction. The protagonist, Max Lovely is no superman, he has as many flaws and quirks as you or I, but he has one acute gift that suits him uniquely for the job that he does and he makes maximum use of that gift. The mix of friends, femme fatales and potential bad guys is dizzying but not at all confusing. The ride was nonstop and thrilling. So much so that I finished this book in two days, stopping only in the wee hours of the morning when my body demanded sleep. Furthermore … if you’re a Bostonian, the descriptions of and historical background on the old Boston neighborhoods is just icing on the cake. This is the second book that I have read from an “Indie Author” and so far I am a resounding “two for two”. This one is not just a “must read”, it’s a “must read as soon as possible”!

Hello all, I'm taking audition films starting now. I'm looking for the first Indie Readers commercial star. The winner (if there is one) will appear on a video commercial with a plug for your own book that will be situated near the top of the main page. I must warn you though, if you all sound as lousy as me ... there will be no commercial. Here is the script I would like to have you read ...

Hi, I'm {Your name here} and I'm one of… Continue
